Direct Interiors in Windsor Gardens
Direct Interiors
On 12/6/15 I went to Direct Interiors, in a very stressed state, as I was getting templates prepared for my new benchtops. The vanity basins I had purchased were the ‘wrong’ sort, recessed not ‘normal’ vanity basins. I had to delay the completion of the templates because I needed to order new basins and they would not go ahead with making the benchtops until they could finalise all templates. I had no functioning basins in my bathroom or ensuite.
I ordered the basins I wanted, which were displayed in Direct Interior’s showroom, and was advised they would be delivered within 8 working days, depending on supply. I rang on the due date and was advised they would be delivered the following Wednesday. I rang again on that Wednesday and was advised Caroma hadn’t delivered yet but would be able to let me know either Thursday or Friday. I rang on Thursday and no one was available to speak with me – I was getting pretty frustrated.
Finally Richard from the warehouse rang and advised the basins hadn’t arrived but he would do his very best, with no guarantees, that they would arrive on Friday. They didn’t arrive.
Exasperated at the endless delays, I rang Bunnings and asked them if they could source the basins I was after. They advised it was a discontinued line but would look into it for me. Within 30 minutes they rang back and said there were 5 basins available at Norwood. I rang Direct Interiors and the saleswoman advised they were still looking into it. I told them 5 were available at Norwood and I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund so I could move things along a get functioning basins after 3 weeks without. She said she thought that would be best and arranged a refund.
I picked up my basins from Bunnings 2 days later! I would recommend going somewhere that can deliver instead of continually giving false promises.
