Hi, My name is Dennis Frawley, we had our roof restored/painted in Oct. 2010.

We have noticed over the last 12 months, that the colour is fading rapidly from the dark Ironstone that it was, to a pale grey.

Can we have someone come out to inspect our roof with regard to the warranty as this is not the colour we wanted, and fear that it will only fade more as time goes on. We accept a little fading over time, but this has gone very pale very quickly.

Since then, it has taken Fortress Coatings until now - September - to inspect their roof paint on our roof.
They called me to tell me - guess what? - fading is not covered under warranty, and the fading on our roof is "normal" - 5Years to fade many shades lighter is not acceptable with house paint / motor vehicle paint / Colourbond paint / fence paint etc. but acceptable on roof paint apparently. Be assured I will not be using or recommending Fortress Coatings ever again.

On the 28th October, I also commissioned Fortress to repair and paint our roof prior to guttering. The gutter tradespeople informed me the roofing nails had not been replaced with the promised roofing screws. I phoned Fortress, but they have ignored the complaint. And today it finally rained - and I had water pouring in on top of my new gas stove in the kitchen. I now have a local builder repairing the roof.
