King of Gemstones
I had a bad experience shopping in King of Gemstones:
That was late November last year. The shop owner Simona introduced me some jade pieces which are newly coming in the shop. As I don't know much about jade, she promised me they are all natural and genuine with natural color. I fully believed and trusted what she said as I thought she wouldn't give wrong information to the regular customers. So I bought few pieces of jade in different times and also had another few pieces on lay-by willing to pay after the New Year's break. In one Christmas party, someone walked to me and said the jade I was wearing doesn't look genuine. I was a bit shocked and later took those jade pieces to the gemmologists in town. They gave me pretty much the same opinions which is the jade pieces appears to have been treated and some of them with obvious dyed color. I went back to Simona and ask if I can have them exchanged to some other natural, genuine stuff. But she suddenly changed her friendly attitude and insist all the jade she sold to me "are natural and genuine, which are no dyed color and of cause no treatment". She refused to exchange, said only will refund if I provide written certificate to prove they've been treated or dyed. (In my opinion, it's not fair to ask the customer to pay for the certificate, as the shop should provide sufficient evidence to back up what's been promised). So I paid to get one jade piece tested and got a written certificate which states: "This piece appears to be: Bleached, Dyed in patches, Polymer filled in patches". But when she saw the certificate, she brought up another issue: she start to question the jade been tested is not from her shop. Luckily I took few photos while I purchased them which can prove the jade is from her shop.
This whole thing is so unpleasant as I realised I was misled at very beginning and she knew exactly what she sales from day one. I share this experience here, just to hope no one else will go through the same in the future.
