Level 4 finish: This is the Australian standard application finish level where a thin layer of finishing joint compound or top coat is applied to all joints and edges and screw holes. The completion point includes sanding the dry compound to a level flat surface.
Level 5 finish: The highest level finish that can be applied to plaster. Premium Level 5 finish achieves a completely smooth surface of plaster where no bumps and inconsistencies will be visible. Level 5 finish is often applied on high end homes in focal areas of the home including Level 5 set stairwells, Level 5 set stair voids and Level 5 set ornate feature walls.
