Toby Bender is a performer, educator and clinician from Melbourne Australia. A skilled Drummer, Percussionist & Singer.
He has also been involved in many high level stage productions, music & arts festivals, studio recordings and has recently returned to Melbourne after performing in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil during the 2016 Olympic Games and a month long study tour to Havana, Cuba and NYC, USA.
Toby has been blessed to be guided and mentored by some of his favorite drummers/percussionists including Russ Miller (Tower of Power), Calixto Oviedo (NG La Banda & Afro-Cuban All-Stars), Australian royalty Peter Blick, Karl Perazzo (Santana), Fausto Cuevas (Stevie Wonder), Richie Flores (Michelle Camilo), Giorgio Rojas (Barefoot Divas) & Alejandro Vega (Dancing With The Stars) who was his first teacher and a major influence.
